The Togliatti plant is an important link in the Bosch Packaging Technology production chain
In February 2010, the production division of Bosch Packaging Technology in Togliatti started manufacturing the new SVI 2620 automatic vertical machine, which enables packaging products in eight different types of packaging.
The first consignment of five machines for the Russian market is currently being manufactured.
The SVI 2620 is the only vertical packaging machine in the world powered by servomotors and vacuum film transport, which enables such a diversity of packaging, including the “doypack” type of packaging with a re-usable ziplock.
The SVI comes with various forms of multi-head, screw-type and linear weighers, as well as an automatic feed system and automatic removal of packaged product. The machine’s productivity is 120 packets per minute.
“Results for 2009 showed that economy-class machines are the still most in demand on the Russian market; particularly the TERRA 25 vertical packaging machine for packing bulk products,” said Alexei Kokotov.
The TERRA 25 vertical packaging machine is a reliable and easy-to-maintain universal machine for packaging dry bulk goods – tea, grains, sugar, etc. The TERRA 25’s productivity is 80 packets per minute.
Any conventional heat-sealing packaging materials may be used to make the packets. TERRA 25 provides reliable seals due to consistently high sealing pressure (up to 4000N) and regulated sealing temperature throughout the entire process.
The TERRA 25 is easily integrated into packaging lines of various configurations. “An important advantage of this machine is the principle of rapid realignment,” emphasizes Kotov.
“Any format change and transition to another type of packet can be done without tools. It needs to be said that Bosch uses the rapid realignment principle for all types of packaging and technical equipment – after all, any downtime in the client’s production entails losses.”
In the International Bosch Packaging Technology Chain
The Bosch Packaging Technology production division in Togliatti uses full-cycle production – from the blank section, to mechanical processing, to assembly of units and entire lines, to synchronization of all types of equipment and final tests with the product and clients’ packaging materials.
It manufactures packaging equipment for bulk and single-piece products in the food and non-food industries – tea, grains, pasta, cookies, animal feed, medicine, etc. A wide range of equipment enables accomplishment of any of the clients’ production tasks.
Bosch Packaging Technology in Togliatti has assembled more than 30 integrated lines that are being effectively used by Russian and foreign companies.
Looking at the above mentioned SVI 2620 the structure of the SVI 2620 machine was developed at a Bosch plant in the Netherlands. Nevertheless, already this year, the plant in the Netherlands will be supplied with SVI parts and mechanical units manufactured in
Togliatti.“Using only imported cold-rolled steel is used to make parts and units for packaging equipment allows us to considerably cut down on milling and lathe processing of parts,” explained Alexei Kokotov, director the Robert Bosch Packaging Technology division in Russia.
