• Conference in Kazan – a platform to discuss prospects for cooperation in the VFD

On October 20, 2011, Kazan hosted the conference “Innovative Technologies and Solutions of Bosch for the Construction, Automotive and Oil industries”.

It was attended by leading business partners and clients from all Bosch units in the Volga Federal District, representatives of regional and municipal administrations, companies and organizations in the construction, oil, automotive and chemical industries from Almetyevsk, Izhevsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Kazan, Kirov, Naberezhniye Chelny, Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhnekamsk, Samara, Saransk, Togliatti, Ulyanovsk and Cheboksary.

The main subject of the conference was effective partnership with Bosch in major regional and industry-specific projects in the Volga Federal District, primarily in construction, automotive engineering and oil extraction.

The Volga Federal District (VFD) with its high level of industrial development plays an important role in the regional strategy of Bosch in Russia. At present, there are concentrated branches of all the company's units with established client bases and a large number of partners to promote products and services.

Bosch's main task in the region is to combine all the units in a unified network and act as an integrated supplier of innovative equipment, technologies and services for various industries.

Opening the forum, Business Development and Government Relations director Timofey Shchegolkov said, “Bosch appreciates the potential of the Volga Federal District, and we are ready to provide customers in the region with comprehensive solutions.

An example of this approach is the Kazan Bosch Communications Center, which opened this autumn and is focused including on projects for other company units.” The center offers innovations in outsourcing, classic communications services and services for complex business processes to both private and state companies.

The Bosch Communication Center handles customer service, sales, administrative functions, as well providing remote-controlled security of moving and stationary objects, technical safety of personnel and other tasks in the field of security monitoring. Working with an experienced and competent outsourcer of business processes enables customers to concentrate on their core business and create competitive advantages.

Security and Safety

Bosch has state-of-the-art products for standard and individual projects and application areas that include intelligent video surveillance (CCTV), access control, burglar and fire alarms, voice/evacuation notification and conference systems.

Bosch Security Systems have been widely used for decades in preparing infrastructure for international events. In Kazan, the Tennis Academy is equipped with Bosch conference and public address systems.

Bosch Security Systems have developed local infrastructure that guarantees the availability of trained personnel to design, supply, install and subsequently maintain facilities in the Volga Federal District.

Energy efficient technology

Innovative heating equipment and climate control systems assist companies in the VFD with heating, reducing energy consumption, reducing operating costs and reducing harmful effects on the environment.

The Bosch Thermotechnology, branch in the VFD provides its customers with equipment using renewable energy sources (heat pumps, solar collectors, wood-fueled boilers), highly efficient condensing heating appliances (gas condensing boilers) and automatic heating and hot-water control systems.

A national warehouse distribution center has been operating since August 2011 in Kazan, and this enables the availability of a wide range of Bosch and Buderus products, including heavy-duty industrial boilers. Deliveries of Buderus heating systems are made in conjunction with the company's partners – specialized installation and construction companies.

Bosch undertakes comprehensive technical support for projects, including planning, delivery, installation and commissioning of the equipment. A well-developed network of authorized service centers based on reliable partners provides service support to the equipment end-users.

Electric drives, hydraulics, pneumatics

The fuel and energy industry occupies an important place in the economy of the Volga Federal District, and has successfully put Rexroth equipment to use. Rexroth supplies the market with solutions for industrial and mobile hydraulics, electric drives and control systems, linear motion and assembly, as well as pneumatics.

In addition to the conference, the forum hosted a workshop dedicated to high-resolution video surveillance systems, an exhibition of innovative company products and a photo exhibition dedicated to Bosch's 125th anniversary.
