Ampoule filling 
Sealing ampoules with laser technology 

A CO2 laser creates the heat needed to pre-heat and seal the ampoules. Gripping pliers pull the ampoule bar away after the melting process is complete.

Our laser technology brings many benefits. Neither combustion gas nor oxygen are needed in the sterile room. The CO2 laser is set up outside the sterile room zone A and guided to the ampoule via mirrors in the protective channel.

Unlike standard sealers with propane or natural gas and oxygen, laser technology is virtually free of particles. Hardly any heat is produced either. This makes complicated heat convection processes in the preheating and extraction station unnecessary, and no undesired air streams are induced into the isolator. The flame setting, which depends on the type of ampoule and is often difficult to control, is no longer a problem.

The laser system can store process parameters to create repeatable sealing results. This makes changing formats easier and hence increases productivity.
