Expanding international presence: Bosch starts construction of a new boiler production facility in Saratov region. Saratov region governor Radayev attends ceremony

  • Total investment will exceed 20 million euros

Engels – The Bosch Group laid the foundation stone for its new Thermotechnology production site in Engels. Bosch and Buderus branded industrial hot water and domestic heating boilers will be produced there starting in the first quarter of 2014. The global supplier of technology and services will invest more than 20 million euros in the site. “The new factory will meet the growing needs of our Russian governmental, commercial, and residential customers for reliable and modern boilers from our brands Bosch and Buderus,” said Gerhard Pfeifer, Bosch Group representative in Russia and the CIS. The facility will create 190 new job opportunities by 2016. The ceremony was attended by Valery Radayev governor of the Saratov Region, as well as by Dmitry Lobanov head of the municipal district of Engels.

The new plant is being built on the existing Bosch production site in Engels. A new 8,000-square-meter facility will house production of six models of three-way boilers with a capacity of 2.5 MW to 6.5 MW for industrial use. Furthermore, more than 30 models of Bosch and Buderus wall-hung gas boilers with a capacity of 18 kW to 35 kW for heating and hot water will be produced there.

Bosch has been present in the Saratov Region, 850 km from Moscow, since 1996. Today, business units engaged in the production of automotive components and power tools are active in Engels, employing 1,500 associates.
